Trending: A Handwritten Font for Campaigns

As a marketing designer, I often find myself in the middle of a campaign workflow where every visual element needs to speak clearly and consistently. One day, while preparing a product launch graphic for a seasonal sale, I reached for a font that could bring warmth and personality to the design. That’s when I discovered Trending—a cute and delicate, lettered handwritten font that adds a personal and realistic feel to any project.

What Makes Trending Stand Out

Trending is more than just a font; it’s a typeface with character. Its authentic look feels like it was written by hand, making it perfect for chalkboard quotes, teaching materials, or any design that benefits from a human touch. The subtle variations in stroke weight and the natural flow of each letter give it a soft, approachable vibe that resonates well with audiences looking for something genuine and creative.

When used in social media graphics or YouTube thumbnails, Trending adds a sense of intimacy that can help a post stand out in a crowded feed. It’s ideal for campaigns that want to feel less corporate and more personal, whether it’s promoting an online course or sharing a daily quote.

Real-World Application in Campaigns

During a recent Instagram content series, I experimented with Trending for the captions and headers of each post. The font’s playful yet refined style complemented the brand’s aesthetic without overpowering the visuals. It worked especially well on Pinterest pins, where the clean lines and readable structure helped maintain clarity even at smaller sizes.

In one instance, I used Trending for a webinar banner. The font’s legibility on mobile screens made it easy for users to scan and understand the message quickly. It also paired beautifully with a modern sans serif font for the supporting text, creating a balanced contrast that enhanced the overall design.

Best Uses for Trending

Trending excels in short headlines, callouts, and logo-style text. It’s great for campaign labels, decorative titles, and display text that needs to catch attention without being overwhelming. For digital ads, it can be used as a headline font to add a unique touch that differentiates the ad from others.

However, it’s not the best choice for long blocks of text or dense information. In those cases, a more structured font would be more appropriate. Trending works best when used strategically—whether it’s for a sale announcement, a product teaser, or a branded template pack.

Readability Tips for Different Campaigns

When using Trending on mobile screens or in small previews, it’s important to keep the text size large enough to remain legible. On dark backgrounds, the font maintains good contrast, but on light backgrounds, it may require some tweaking to ensure visibility. For image overlays or fast-scrolling feeds, consider pairing it with a simpler font to guide the viewer’s eye effectively.

For email banners or landing page headers, Trending can add a fresh, creative edge. Just make sure the surrounding elements don’t compete for attention. It’s also worth noting that the font includes alternates and ligatures, which can be useful for customizing the look of your designs.

Font Pairing and Design Integration

Trending pairs well with a variety of other fonts, depending on the campaign’s tone. A clean sans serif like Montserrat or Open Sans can provide a strong counterpoint, while a classic serif like Georgia or Playfair Display offers a more traditional contrast. For a cohesive look, it can also be paired with another script font to create a layered, dynamic effect.

When integrating Trending into a brand’s identity, it’s essential to check the included styles, weights, and file formats. Make sure the font supports the languages you need and that the commercial license allows for use in client projects, merchandise, or digital products. This ensures that the font remains a versatile and reliable asset in your design toolkit.

As part of the Script Amp collection, Trending fits well within a broader range of typography options. Whether you’re working on packaging design, editorial layouts, or web design, it adds a unique touch that can elevate your campaign’s visual appeal.
